An Economy that Works for Minnesotans
Small businesses are the lifeblood of our local economy. As a small business owner myself, I know the importance of making sure our economy works at every level – for the workers we depend on, the employers driving innovation and expansion, and the customers who count on our products and services. And as a mother, I want to make sure the fundamentals of our economy are strong as my own sons prepare to enter the workforce.
As your state senator I’ll work to enact responsible tax cuts for families, seniors, and small businesses that keep more money in your pocket and protect the state’s bottom line. I’ll focus on containing the rising cost of goods and services, and will support job training and retention programs to create the skilled workforce that is essential to economic recovery and expansion.

Safe Neighborhoods, Thriving Communities
As a paramedic, I work on the front lines of public safety and see first-hand the impact crime has on individuals, families and communities. While serving on the City Council of Bayport, I always advocated strongly for community policing because I support and value the work of our dedicated law enforcement officers.
As your state senator I will work to reduce crime now and prevent crime in the future. I’ll fight to make sure our police and local law enforcement officers have the funding they need to do their jobs. I will continue to support community policing that is responsive, trustworthy, and accountable to the public it serves, and will work to advance prevention strategies that disrupt criminal activity, stop violence, and improve overall public safety.

Protecting Women’s Right to Choose
Government has no place in private conversations between patients and doctors. And the last thing we need is a government that mandates our private decisions about when or if to start a family.
The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade moved our country 50 years backward on women’s rights. That’s not the Minnesota we want for our daughters, our sisters, or our neighbors.
I’ll work to keep moving Minnesota forward, including protecting, defending, and enshrining our reproductive rights and freedoms.
Forward doesn’t just mean reproductive choice –it means addressing disparate outcomes in infant and maternal health. It means paid family and medical leave, so every parent has the opportunity to bond with their child during those precious first months of their baby’s life. And it means making healthcare more affordable and accessible for your family, so you can get the care you need when you need it.
As your state senator I will work to strengthen and protect the things we value most – great schools in every neighborhood; safe, stable, and affordable housing for families, seniors, and veterans; protecting our precious land and water; and ensuring we have access to affordable health care when we need it.

Keeping Minnesota a Great Place to Live, Work and Raise a Family
There is a reason we’ve chosen to make Minnesota our home. Strong public schools, a forward-thinking economic environment, more than 10,000 lakes that are part of our rich outdoor heritage, and access to some of the best healthcare in the world – these are just a few of the reasons Minnesota is such a great place to live and raise a family.
As your state senator I will work to strengthen and protect the things we value most – great schools in every neighborhood; safe, stable, and affordable housing for families, seniors, and veterans; protecting our precious land and water; and ensuring we have access to affordable health care when we need it.

Support our Veterans and Military Families
My husband, Mike, has served in the Navy for 29 years so I know firsthand the sacrifice that comes with military service. I’m proud of his service to our country, and of the service of Minnesota’s 400,000 veterans. It’s part of what’s driven my work with the Yellow Ribbon Network of Washington County – a non-profit connecting service members and their families to community support, training, and resources.
As your state senator I will continue to be a voice for veterans, military members and their families, and will work to ensure we never forget the sacrifice they have made for us.
